How accurate are the estimates?
Category-average estimates from industry benchmarks. Not item-level LCA. Suitable for PDP display under ECGT 2024/825 transparency expectations, not GHG Protocol Scope 3 reporting.
Do I need certified data?
No. Eco API uses category + material inputs — you supply no measurements. For CSRD-grade certified data storage, see Carbon Certificates.
Does this grant a DPP passport?
No. Eco scores are one module. A full EU Digital Product Passport requires the DPP+Eco product which includes passport issuance, QR code, and ESPR schema.
Impact estimates are category averages — not item-level Life Cycle Assessments. Suitable for sustainability labels and PDP display. Not for GHG Protocol Scope 3 reporting without additional LCA. Estimates support circular transparency; they do not claim product neutrality.
